Network and System Engineer

An Information System and Network Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing for the computer information systems within a company and overseeing installation, ensuring backup systems operate effectively. Purchasing hardware and software, providing the best IT technology infrastructures for the Company and contributing to organizational policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning. Responsible for managing IT activities such as software development, Internet and intranet operations, and network security. Possess advanced skills and ensure effective implementation of ERP System.

- IT Infrastructure: Design, install, upgrade, configure, maintenance of LAN, WAN, hardware and infrastructure.- Experience in Network devices, TCP, IP, Backup, VLAN,DSL Link, Fibre Links, Wirelss access points. etc.- Programming : Design, development and administration includes SQL, HTML,MS Access, MorphX, Sharepoint, VB.Net etc. Specify others if any.- ERP MS AX 2012 - development, implementation and administration: X++ etc.- Others : MS Exchange 2010 : Implement, administer, trouble shoot and maintain data base and user mail box, SAN storage,VBN, Firewall etc.- Build a standard, expandable with cost effective data center and infrastructure for Head Office and project sites.- Assist in planning, design, documentation and implementation of various systems includes desktops, laptops, servers, network equipment, ELV/CCT TV systems, UPS, fibre/cat 6 cables, and software applications.- Installing, managing and maintaining windows server 2003,2008, 2012 infrastructure, active directory, domains, and sites.- Managing and configure windows server domain/forest functional level, DNS, DHCP, GPOs,OUs, WSUS, emails, users and groups.- Perform any software packaging implementation like Symantec endpoint protection, SQL, Oracle and any required software upgrade/update.- Make recommendations and put the technical and electromechanical specs for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various contractors, suppliers and vendors.- Perform daily system administration jobs, server check and network monitoring, users and emails creation, backup jobs.- Windows and system backups and restore using Symantec backup exec 2012.- Oversee network and server configuration maintenance and management, firmware updates, computer security, and anti-virus updates etc.- Overseeing file management on centralized resource,(i.e. File servers, Virtualization server, and Application server) or on individual workstations.- Assist in preparing IT budget needs with Capex and Opex costs.- Manage Microsoft licensing based on the company need and ensuring all software is properly licensed and up to date.- Server documentation and labeling, designing and planning for all IT environments and creates and maintains good technical documentation.- Ensuring that ERP integration into meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications - Providing secure access to the network for remote users.- Mentoring and training new IT support staff.- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.- Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack.- Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.- Maintenance of company website in co-ordination with concerned person.- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.- Maintain QHSE and Customer Care standards.- Maintain time sheet for self and subordinates.- Reporting system as per project and company requirement to be followed.- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management with respect to the concerned Department.- 3 years experience in IT/Network administration, ERP with a company having 50+ users.
